The Foodie High 5's

At The Wild Thyme Company, we have always been passionate about creating extraordinary event experiences and delighting our clients with delectable dishes that leave a lasting impression. After 18 years in business, we are thrilled to announce a pivotal moment in our journey - the introduction of our new core values that reflect the essence of who we are and where we're headed.

As we began planning and working on our goals for 2023, we also noticed a shift in our company culture- the core values we had created 18 years ago no longer resonated with us in the same way. Behind our success was a vibrant and unique company culture that nurtures collaboration, innovation, and a shared sense of purpose. However, we realized that to keep pace with the ever-changing landscape of the event industry, we needed to redefine our core values. Dawn and Daisy began working on redefining the core values- a journey of introspection dialogue, and testing the High 5’s that lasted almost an entire year, before sharing them with the team. They wanted to make sure that the new core values resonated with them first and were values that they could truly stand behind. Our team worked together to find the words and ideals that our foodies all valued. When we narrowed down our list, they were refreshed into what we call our Foodie High 5’s. These weren’t brand new concepts or values to our team, but rather, something we’ve been practicing. 

To introduce the core values to the team, Dawn and Daisy hosted a High 5’s launch party at Verbena Kitchen in North Park. Each foodie that was invited were specifically selected because they embodied these core values and were already practicing these throughout their work and at events. Throughout the night, Dawn & Daisy planned specific activities that aligned with each core value. One of the most memorable moments was writing each other notes of affirmation and things we respected about each individual. After kicking off these core values, it created a ripple effect.

The High 5’s are a way to hold each other accountable and continue to provide amazing service at each of our events. Our renewed core values truly represent the soul of The Wild Thyme Company. We want to create an environment where each foodie can thrive to be their very best. They embody the essence of our journey, our commitment to our clients, and our passion for catering. As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we invite you to join us on this adventure, where every event becomes an extraordinary celebration of taste, community, and growth.
